The Elegance of Kindness – Jon Batiste – yes indeed!

Sometimes people´s auras attract magnetically, like moth to light. Such is the aura of an extraordinary humanitarian, a native New Orleans multi-genre musician, and an advanced systems-thinker too (whether he knows it or not), named Jon Batiste! Whenever I come under the spell of his music, read a post by him, or hear him speak, I feel I am listening to a message I need to hear. Batiste is about expression – always exuding love, kindness, joy – and an intelligence with purpose, addressing the racial divide in America, and beyond. He is to be found in many channels sharing his incredible artistry, singular expression, and indisputable integrity. An Instagram post of his encapsulating him reads “Let´s keep the elegance of kindness alive.”

The elegance of kindness. That phrase won´t let me go! Graceful, pleasingly ingenious generosity. That´s what this wonderful human rubs off on the world through his rich expressions.

Batiste has multiple musical styles and outlets too, such as Social Music with his Stay Human Band, often taking to the streets of N.Y. breaking out in joyful, magnetic Love Riots. Stay Human is also the house-band on a large nightly TV-show, often voicing inequality with power, elegance, skill, and humor. They play in hospitals, schools, concert arenas, jazz clubs, and more. Batiste also composes music to, and inspire the main character in films, such as “Soul.”

In a 2017 interview Batiste explains: “…When you are listening to music, it´s not passive. You´re having a visceral reaction to it, and hopefully it´s a positive one that you take with you, and translate to the next person you meet, and that´s why music has this way of changing the environment,” (that´s the systems thinker right there). When I listen to his music, the residue frequency of the listening vibrates in my body for a long time after the music has stopped. So here I am, sharing the impact of his music with you.
